Marina Hand Position

Northwest Fuels Limited is seeking a reliable, well-rounded and motivated individual to join our team at the Prince Rupert Marina division. Applicants will be good-natured, people-oriented and work well under pressure.

As site hand you will be responsible for ensuring support to all crew and customers to ensure safe and efficient operation of the site through a variety of tasks related to organization, administration and maintenance; We are looking for an individual who seeks growth potential and long-term employment.

Main Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):

• Report and take direction from Management

• Customer Service; safely assisting boats/clientele coming in to the dock, as well as taking incoming calls/messages and detailed relaying of information

• Safely and efficiently Loading and offloading product

• Over the counter sales, including basic mathematical and computer skills

• Assist in Inventory Management

• Monitoring and facilitating fueling protocol & procedure

• Daily and routine site maintenance


• Previous Customer Service experience in a fast paced environment

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

• Attention to detail and problem solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Must be comfortable working on or around water

• Valid Class 5 license

• Willingness to learn new skills and grow into new roles and responsibilities as required, including ongoing site training

Additional Qualifications that would be considered an asset:

• WHMIS and/or OFA Level 1

• Boating or marine experience

• Valid Class 1 or 3 Drivers license

• Previous marine and/or fuel experience
